So, I don't actually have a phone charger at work. That's because I was away at the weekend, and remembered to take it then.
So I won't have a phone until this evening.

Ah, good news day. Well, no, it's not actually "good news". This is an example of Optimism, or the infamous "Positive Mental Attitude" affecting perception.
1 - start date confirmed.
2 - pay cheque should be waiting for me.

Of course, if I were to look at my coffee cup and realise that having already drunk half the contents it is half empty I could have stressed about:
1 - only today recieving confirmation of a start date, and still waiting on a letter so I have it in writing.
2 - I don't have an account to pay my pay cheque into yet *wah*
But not. For my coffee cup is like a thermos, and I still have half a cup of coffee to drink.
