Why can't paper be red?

I am putting letters into envelopes. They are Very Important Letters on some of the Very Good paper.
So of course I have aquired a bleeding papercut on a nuckle - whilst contemplating taking a couple of painkillers (bad shoulder).
This is not a break. This is me saving time and money, for I do not want to reprint all these letters for a third time. No.
