Quote of my life.

If you love somebody, let them go. If they return, they were always yours. If they don't, they never were

Different view of commitment -

I'll give you countless amounts of outright acceptance if you want it.
I will give you encouragment to choose the path you want if you need it.
You can speak of anger and doubts, your fears and freak-outs and I'll hold it.
You can share your so-called "shamefilled" accounts of times in your life and I
won't judge it.
And there are no strings attached to it.

This to me is a commitment :) It says that I will be there for you. That I will not simply walk away, or ignore you, That you mean something to me above and beyond 'yeah, whatever'.

Not a committment as in Marriage or any form of 'legality' or anything that I demand of you but something that I give to you and that is mine to honour, and hence to set free.

To me the quote is:

You are important to me, I love you and want you but will not cage you. You are free. I shall be here for you if you return, and if you do not return I shall continue to love you and love that you are free and happy without me.

That statement to me is a commitment - it is not a bargin to be kept, a piece of paper to matter, but something to honour.

As the loved one is free, so is the one who loves.
Love will set you free! And that is The Truth.
I do rather worship Love.
Committed to freedom, to choice, to being there because one wants to be. Yes. There is a great power in that.
Love.
To which I am a canine compaion.
